VI. CLERKS OF THE PODGÓRZE TOWN HALL 1913–1915
Based on rules from the Borough Law of 1866, the body managing the borough and its Council was the Borough Authority, which chose the Borough Council from its own members, for a period equalling its own term of office. The Borough Authority consisted of a borough supervisor (mayor) simultaneously leading the Borough Council, as well as a minimum of two court agents from the councillors, with the deputy mayor chosen from the court agents. The Borough Law of 1889 introduced changes for Podgórze – the managing body was then the Town Hall (consisting of the mayor, his deputy and the court agents) which ran the borough's matters and those of the plants and funds under its control, as well as taking care of daily matters.
